Had a wonderful weekend.  Spent Friday night with Rich. Saturday was soccer and Em scored goals.So proud of her.

Saturday evening Rich and I went to our favorite little restaurant.  They had put a couple of our favorite dishes back on menu.  Meal was great.  Service was pretty good.

Then back to his house for birthday cake and watching baseball.  Out for breakfast.   AHHHHH relaxing

Well now back to reality, laundry, dinner, picking up and working in the yard.


We ate breakfast at Bob Evans in South Bloomfield today.  Had the cutest thing happen.  Rich, of course, was the only black man in the place.  An older guy, about 70, came by and tapped Rich on the shoulder.  When Rich turned around, the guy said, " I hope Obama gets things straightened out.  I voted for him."   We both looked at each other and giggled.  It was awfully brave of the guy to say that, especially based on his age he ah lived through Civil Rights, AND the fact that we were in the middle of Bubba's country.
Maybe there is some hope after all.
